The motion sensor is shielded by a thin plastic which prevents dirt and the like from getting in. The couch mouse only operates when a hand is placed on it, preventing any accidental movement. The scrolling wheel operates seamlessly and tilts side to side for side scrolling. The cherry on top is it's massive two year battery life.
